In the deep tunnels of the Prosper-Haniel colliery, shortly before the last coal mine in the Ruhr area closes, the miners come across something that will change the world forever. What begins as a sad farewell to an ancient era quickly becomes a fight for survival as they discover a strange and dangerous world that lies hidden beneath the surface.
