Hello, dear friend! My name is Mark. When the weather outside is beautiful, my dad and I go to the shore to play with pebbles. Sometimes it is the riverbank. Sometimes the shore of a lake. Or even the edge of a small pond – it depends on where we are. But the most exciting adventure happens when we are at the seashore!

Every time we play with pebbles by the sea, we look for treasure. You know, those special little things. Sometimes they are pebbles with perfectly shapes: a circle, a square, a triangle, an oval, a line, and even a heart. I have never seen a pebble shaped like a line. But hearts – oh, hearts can be found.

There are also pebbles we call “Chicken Gods.” Why? I don’t really know. They look neither like gods nor chickens. The only thing they have in common is a tiny hole in the middle. Such a pebble can be strung on a cord or chain and worn as a necklace or bracelet. People say it brings good luck.
