Outlines of Educational Doctrine

The Outlines of Educational Doctrine y Herbert (first published in 1905) is a theoretical and practical book on schooling and education in general which touches upon different sides of the education process. The author stresses the importance of the psychological approach to schooling, stating that children of different ages and characters require separate approaches. He also focuses on the moral sides of education and points out how the weakness in the latter brings to the misbehavior in the classroom. Further, Herbert specifies how his principles of education can be applied to teaching different subjects and different age groups.
