The Mad King

"The Mad King" is a Ruritanian romance by American writer Edgar Rice Burroughs, taking place in the fictional European kingdom of Lutha. The protagonist is the son of an American farmer and a runaway Luthan princess, Victoria Rubinroth. He comes to Lutha to see the land of his mother, unaware of his royal blood. He gets just in the middle of the political turmoil, during which he gets mistaken for the king.
