Edward Robinson, a mere clerk, wins £500 in a competition; wondering what to invest in he finally buys a luxurious car. He goes out to the road, stops to contemplate the landscape and when he returns his car have been changed for one almost the same. His surprise is extraordinary when discovered that there is a diamond necklace in the glove compartment. Unintentionally, Edward is involved in a mafia adventure.
