The Chronicle of Victory. 1418 days and nights

The anniversary edition has been prepared for the 80th Anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people over the Nazi invaders in the Great Patriotic War. This publication shall introduce in colors and remind our readers about the heroism of that war time. All 1418 days of the Great Patriotic War are presented as a single annual cycle – from January 1 to December 31. The book reveals the most striking events for each day: the most outstanding military operations, liberation of cities and countries, war heroes, and speaks about major military leaders and commanders. It also contains the most important Decrees of the USSR Supreme Soviet, Directives of the Headquarters of the Supreme High Command. The numerous deeds of valor of the front and rear heroes are highlighted here. Wartime posters, posters of feature movies of those years, paintings and graphics by our outstanding soldiers, works by military photojournalists, images of military equipment, weapons and military awards were used for this book illustrations. The rich design allows the reader to feel his involvement with each of the 1 418 days of the war.
