About the book
Xenophon was a Greek historian and philosopher known as a contemporary of Socrates. In his works, he wrote about the history of his times, the sayings of Socrates, and about life in Greece. One of his most renowned works, «The Economist,» represents a discussion between Critobulus and Socrates in which they discuss profitable estate management. Xenophon also writes about a lengthy discussion Socrates had with Ischomachus on the same subject.
