About the book

The following is an autobiography of 'Mark Rutherford' – a pseudonym behind Hale White, a British writer and civil servant. He had already served an apprenticeship to journalism before he made his name, or rather his pen name, «Mark Rutherford», famous with three novels, supposedly edited by one Reuben Shapcott: Mark Rutherford's Deliverance, The Revolution in Tanner's Lane, and this book.
