Теодоро Коттро (1827–1879) прославился в первую очередь как автор аранжировки и издатель популярнейшей «Santa Lucia», записанной многими великими исполнителями, в числе которых Энрико Карузо, Робертино Лоретти и др. Распространенная по всему миру и ставшая своего рода символом неаполитанской культуры, эта песня принесла композитору популярность, со временем вышедшей далеко за пределы Италии. В наследии композитора около 50 неаполитанских песен.

Teodoro Cottrau (1827–1879) gained fame first of all as the arranger and publisher of the traditional song “Santa Lucia”, which was recorded by many great artists, including Enrico Caruso, Robertino Loretti, and others. The song, which became popular all over the world and turned to be a symbol of Neapolitan culture, little by little made Cottrau famous far beyond Italy. The composer’s heritage includes approximately 50 Neapolitan songs.
The edition is addressed to students of music colleges, higher schools, professional performers, and vocal music lovers.
