'Play the Game!' is a comedic coming-of-age novel written by Ruth Comfort Mitchell. The story begins by introducing us to Honor Carmody, a young girl who enjoys the attention of a lot of boys—which both of her parents find rather appaling. As such, after finishing grammar school, her mother and stepfather decide to send her to Marlborough, a prestigious school for girls known across the country. Of course, Honor is not thrilled about the prospect of attending a school with only girls.
