"That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind", the immortal words uttered by Commander Neil Armstrong when he stepped from the Apollo 11 lunar module Eagle on the 19th July 1969 and became the first man to walk on the Moon. Now as the 50th anniversary of that legendary event approaches The Story of Apollo features that legendary event, summarises the Space Race between the USA and Soviet Union which culminated in the USA landing on that historic date. Included in the history are the fateful Apollo 13 mission and the final Apollo 17 moon-shot.
