«Шинок» – в переводе с украинского означает – «питейный дом», «кабак». Истинный хозяин любого шинка – шинкарь. Михаил Романов, шинкарь из «Шинка» создаёт невероятное разнообразие домашних наливок и авторского пива. The Ukrainian national cuisine restaurant «Shinok» is a favorite for anyone who loves to spend time in good company at a hospitable table. This restaurant has not only gathered the most unique recipes of popular dishes from all over the Ukraine, but also the most unique items of decor as well: hand-embroidered towels and jars, antiques of every shape and caliber. Here all the recipes are genuine and purely Ukrainian. Ukraine has always been known for treated its guests to the best its native soil has to offer. And this natural generosity of spirit is embodied in the legendary Ukrainian folk dishes.

If you are not yet familiar with Ukrainian cuisine, «Shinok» is one of the best places to start with. It all begins with the host of any real pub – the Barkeep. He will pour you a glass, tell you a story and listen to your own tale of woe – in short, he will do everything to make you feel right at home. Mikhail Romanov, the Barkeep of «Shinok», creates an incredible variety of domestic cordials and brews the beer himself. There are guests who arrive from distant lands just to enjoy a noble drink from «Shinok».

Incidentally, getting some good grub is not a problem in this restaurant. Everyone knows the Ukrainian Borsch with pam-pushkas, the dumplings and homemade sausages, the Herring with Potatoes and the homemade pickles from a barrel are to die for. The food here is trully, legendary. And if a snack won’t do it for you, have a hearty dinner – here you are quite free to do what you like. Different kinds of meat on the grill and hot Kruchenyks, cutlets and poultry for every taste – eat to your heart's content!
