Skookum Chuck Fables

"Skookum Chuck Fables" is a collection of, mainly humorous, sketches of both fictional and non-fictional nature. The earlier sketches are fables of life in the British Columbian province of Canada. The stories range in theme from Native American culture in Canada, the Canadian Gold rush and romance. The later sketches are based on actual historical events. Some of the titles include: 'Of the Rolling Stone', 'Of Cultus Johnny', 'Of the Chief who was Bigger than He Looked', 'Of the High Class Eskimo' and 'Of Joan of Arc'.
