The Soldier of the Valley

'The Soldier of the Valley' is a romance-humor novel written by Nelson Lloyd. Set in a provincial little town called Black Log in Pennsylvania. The story follows Mark, a Spanish-American war veteran as he tries to win the hand of the town's belle, Mary. But to do so, he will have to compete with the multitude of suitors who are also interested in taking Mary as their bride.
