Book description

The importance of the proper teaching of manners isn't unknown to anyone. Children are close imitators and quick to pick up anything they observe people doing without understanding if those manners are good or bad. Most kids never understand this difference and these habits stay with them forever. With this truth in mind, the author wrote this small book to help the teacher or the parents inculcate good manners in the children. After observing that schools were not taking suitable measures to teach the importance of good manners to the children, the idea to write this work came to her.

Through this work, Julia M. Dewey aimed to furnish material for lessons suitable to be taught in the schools, furnish illustrative lessons showing the main lines of thought to be followed, and tell both teachers and students about the need for good manners.
