Flocked

Imagine a world where birds have evolved so much they can no longer fly – instead they all live in houses in towns and take a plane if they want to travel! Young daydreamer, Jack, has never really fitted in and, as his school Careers Day looms, he starts to question why he should follow the life path that he has been told to. In the Bird Kingdom every species has a rigidly prescribed career: sparrows like Jack must become mechanics, blue jays become beauticians, cranes have to go into construction, ducks are drivers, owls form the police force and parrots become teachers, etc. The problem is, ever since he was little, Jack has dreamed of being a pilot – a job reserved for hawks. Despite the ridicule of his classmates and the put downs from his teachers, Jack's longing to fly a plane keeps growing and then one fateful day, he thinks the unthinkable – I can break the mould! At first Jack is ridiculed for his attempts to achieve his dream but he is no quitter, and his maverick spirit sets him off on an incredible adventure.
