"A Review of the Resources and Industries of the State of Washington, 1909" by Ithamar Howell aimed to give visitors at the Alaska-Yukon-Pacific Exposition, a brief description of the principal resources and industries of the State of Washington. During the turn of the century, the Pacific Northwest and all the way up to Alaska saw much growth in popularity. While some people didn't understand the reasons, others flocked to the area without realizing that, despite the larger population presence, it was still a highly wild territory.
