The Lieutenant and Others

This is a collection of stories written during WWI by the author. The stories are reflections of his life and experiences during this time. He was an active soldier during the war and won the Military Cross for bravery shown at the Battle of Ypres. First published separately in the Daily Mail, the stories were extremely successful when published in book form after the war.
