Saraband for Dead Lovers

This is a historical novel set in seventeenth-century Hanover. It revolves around the doomed romance between Philip Christoph von Königsmarck and Sophia Dorothea of Celle, the wife of the Elector of Hanover. Sophie marries Prince George Louis of Hanover at the age of sixteen. Both parties are not happy about the union. Prince George Louis wants nothing to do with her when he later becomes King George I of Great Britain. Then Sophie finds solace in the hands of a dashing Count, Philip Konigsmark. Will the Prince now King George I of Great Britain condone this?
