"St. George's Cross; Or, England Above All" is a novel set during the reign of a young King Charles II. The King gathers his advisors around him to consult their advice on a matter, a dire warning he has received from the Rector of St Owen that he should not stay in Jersey as treachery is afoot there. Lord Jermyn, the Queen's trusted councilor is speaking openly about selling the Channel Islands to France in return for a French Dukedom and Peerage.
