Pintoricchio, also known as Benetto di Biagio or Sordicchio, was an Italian painter during the Renaissance. Initially known for his small stature, he soon gained fame and notoriety for his expertise as a painter. The Sistine Chapel, the Vatican Library, and countless other cathedrals and halls are still adorned with his work today. Phillipps respect for this artist is palpable as she brings him to life in her biographical work.
