On the Spot

"On the Spot" is a gangster novel set in Chicago. It depicts the horror of gang life in that era. The novel tells the story of Tony Perelli who recruits men into his gang life and women for his bed. He tosses them away as soon as he has no use for them until he meets his match in Minn Lee, a beautiful half-Chinese woman. Tony's main rival is Mick Feeney, an Irish gangster. When Feeney begins to encroach on Tony's territory, Tony decides to show him who the gang master is. Will Tony be able to discard Minn Lee as he has done to others before her?
