When the little puppy Spitzohr sees the light of day, he believes that his life will never change significantly. Although he and his siblings live on the streets, their loving mother does her best to make their everyday life as pleasant and carefree as possible. But when she doesn't return home from searching for food one day, the puppies have to learn to stand on their own paws. To make matters worse, dog catchers are on the prowl, and it doesn't take long before the three siblings fall into their hands. But even though Spitzohr's life takes an unexpected turn, the real adventure is just beginning. He has no idea that he is destined for something very special.
