The Prince and the Page

"The Prince and the Page: A Story of the Last Crusade" is a historical novel. The story begins in 1265, shortly after the battle of Evesham, in which the Royalist forces led by Prince Edward triumphed and Simon de Montfort was killed. One of his sons, a thirteen-year-old boy, survives the battle and is taken in by an outlaw. Prince Edward finds and apprehends them, but spares the outlaw and takes the boy into his service to keep him safe from the evil influence of his elder brothers, Simon and Guy de Montfort. Will the boy pledge his allegiance to the prince?
