A Colonial Wooing

On an early morning walk in August, a young man sets out on a walk that will take him past the home of his Uncle Silas. He lives in an original settler's house and when the young man passes by, is sitting on his porch. Silas calls him to come and sit with him, but then a very unexpected thing happens.
