Book description

"Miriam Monfort" is a historical novel taking place in the 1820s. It tells the story of Miriam, a daughter of an Englishman from the aristocratic family of Monfort, and a Jewish woman. Her parents' families opposed their marriage, so Miriam's father brought his family to the United States. Myriam, their daughter, was brought up in Delaware. She was an outdoors girl, with more friends among animals than people. Due to her open-heartedness and good nature, Myriam won the affection of good people and jealousy of the bad ones, which had a huge influence on her fate.
