Boundless Waters by Marjorie Bowen is about the life of wealthy small-town boy Francis Ribblestone on one of his visits to town. Excerpt: «A rough path led from the road to the summit, on which rose the stiff outlines of a gallows and gibbet—the remains of a nameless murderer, who had suffered for vile and sordid crimes when Francis Ribblestone was a child.
