The Elusive Pimpernel is the fourth book in Baroness Orczy's classic adventure series about the Scarlet Pimpernel. Chauvelin, the French agent, and chief spy-catcher is driven to exact revenge on the Scarlet Pimpernel for his previous humiliations.
