A Change of Air

'A Change of Air' is a novel written by Anthony Hope. The story begins with a conversation between three men, Arthur, Philip, and Dale, with Dale being praised for earning twenty pounds for his poem, while Arthur only managing to receive ten and sixpence for his. Dale has rented a country house and is excited about Nellie, who is coming to visit him along with Mrs. Hodge. The conversation turns to the difference between a country house and a villa. Arthur is not keen on the idea of staying in a villa but agrees to visit Dale. Dale thinks Arthur is too serious about the country versus the city.
