I am a somewhat strange girl. I don’t get really I along well with people, or actually, no one likes me, that simple. My life hasn’t been the best these last days. I feel a bit bored and I don’t feel like doing anything. Honestly, I don’t really want to do any-thing at all. You know, some days the only thing I want is to not wake up. If I could, I wouldn’t even have gotten out of bed today, but I have a damned test to take, so I’m just sitting here on this bench at the old plaza of my city. What am I exactly looking at? Honestly? No idea! I look at the people and I don’t see anyone. I don’t focus on them.

My life is shit right now, so I can’t manage to see anything other than myself.

I think it’s enough. Nobody was go-

ing to want to look, much less talk to someone like me.

take the exam today. I don’t even remember anything that the teacher said last week, not a single thing was etched into my mind. My siblings have always said I was stupid, and I’m starting to believe them. Why can’t someone like me manage to learn anything at all? I sit at the front row every day, practically glued to the teacher, and I concentrate on what they say, but the information just doesn’t stay in my head.

Hello stranger, sorry for starting my letter like this but I I really don’t know why I’m so stupid. You must be wondering why. I’ll explain what happened to me.

There was a kid in elementary who I fell in love with at first sight. He was the kind of boy that left every girl with their head in the clouds. He was tall, had an athletic body since he did sports, and had some beautiful legs that left me flus-tered every time I saw him in shorts when he went to the field to play, even though

we were only teenagers.

me, but it’s true, number one for two years in a row. I had the best grades, furthermore I was beautiful. I wasn’t born with a silver spoon in my mouth as I would’ve liked, but I made an effort and was successful, and in that way, I made many friends, but I didn’t have what was most important: Connor’s heart.

I honestly never understood why he looked at me or why he waved at me, but I could barely, I could never get close, he wouldn’t let me, and later on I understood why, he was secretly dating one of my classmates. Well, I don’t want to talk about that right now. The only thing I know is that I’m so stupid! Yes, after years without seeing him, without any news or contact of any sort, he appeared in front of me and what most made me angry was the reaction I felt in my heart. I’ll tell you what happened.

I stood still like a statue without the strength to get out of the way when he came towards me. Well… I thought he came towards me, but he was really just going to the classroom. I was just blocking his path.

At first, I hoped he’d seen me, but not anymore.

I was so stupid! To think that boy would someday remember me! But no, he barely even looked at me. And do you know what hurt me the most? It was to find out that my feelings hadn’t changed at all.
