FOREWORD
The author of the e-book “Ivanka Ivanova’s Songs – Part Four” is the Pazardzhik folklore singer Ivanka Ivanova Pietrek. In July, 2012, she published another e-book of hers – “Folklore Dedication.”
which was the author’s first effort to acquaint those who love the Bulgarian Folklore Song with the techniques of breathing and singing for folk songs, with the features of the Bulgarian folklore districts, custom clothing, instruments… with the specific Bulgarian measures and rhythms.
That edition was followed by the e-books “Ivanka Ivanova’s Songs – Part One” – in early February, 2013 /44 folk songs with notations and lyrics which she performs and has included in three CDs,produced by ACM New Jersey – USA, sold online/

And dark as it was narrow
Last night she went

And tore her necklace
She got to gather it

a shepherd saw her
and told the blueberry
Blueberry, hold the lass
until I come there
I’ll take the lass
You ’ll take the necklace!
